The link below offers an excellent argument for a consistent normal grammatical historical approach to interpreting Scripture.  Pay close attention to Dr. Cone’s argument that if the passage under review can be interpreted in a manner that disregards the plain meaning, then how can we be sure of anything found in God’s word.
